Primary importance
We provide educational packs to Primary Schools
Over the years we've developed a good reputation for providing primary school education resources. Letter writing, role play activities, work-related learning and reading are all covered in a range of packs which include videos, CD-Roms and DVD support material. Examples of the kind of packs we produce are:
- Community Post Office - A Post Office® activity pack which encourages children to think about the role of the Post Office® in the community
- Lenny the Letter - a Royal Mail pack that describes the journey of a letter and includes activities that show how to properly address a letter
- Numeracy With Stamps - this pack is designed to help children develop their numeracy skills and is linked into key elements of the National Numeracy Strategy
- Seeds of Care - a fun-packed resource (written and developed by practising primary school teachers) that helps teach Science, English, Art and Design and PSHE/Citizenship
- We also produce and distribute homework reading diaries and writing journals, as well as numerous other resources.
Last year we estimate that around 412,000 children used our resource material.
These are just some of the quotes we've received about our education packs:
- "I just ordered mine - very quick and easy. How fantastic! Thanks for letting us all know! Well done Royal Mail!"
- "[You can] just phone them and order one. They have put it together from advice of teachers, so they know exactly what you want."
- "Mine arrived this morning - it is lovely and I feel inspired!"
- "How about a BIG thank you to the kind people at the Post Office? THANKYOU!!!"
All our resources can be used in the classroom by teachers or with the assistance of Royal Mail Group volunteers. For more information on primary school resources go to www.teacherspost.co.uk.
