UK businesses using Royal Mail meters can benefit from good value prices offering significant discounts based on volume.
From small local firms to multinational companies, businesses rely on delivery services to get their products and messages to the marketplace. It is already a very competitive market and we are not the sole providers. The regulatory framework has allowed providers other than Royal Mail now to handle around 40 per cent of all letters and 70 per cent of bulk mail.
In a changing market, we want to continue to help commerce thrive – in the UK and internationally – by providing our core services as well as new, technology-driven business solutions. UK businesses using our credit account services can benefit from good value prices offering significant discounts based on volume.
Parcels and letters for business
We deliver letters and parcels for businesses to all corners of the UK and across the world. We also collect from more than 80,000 companies in the UK. We have invested significantly in our parcels services to support both online and catalogue retailers and their shoppers. Through Royal Mail Warehousing, we can now store products as well as pick, pack and dispatch orders for firms that do not have the space to hold stock.
Direct Mail advertising
Royal Mail does not just deliver direct mail. We also provide the solutions and consultancy services to help advertisers get the most from their campaigns. There is solid evidence that incisive, well-targeted direct mail often earns better results than other forms of advertising.
Our Mail Media Centre reinforces the value of direct mail in the current communication mix and demonstrates how it can boost results. It showcases examples of great creative, provides expert advice from industry authorities on how to maximise return on investment and features all the latest industry research from a variety of independent sources, including Nielsen. We know that combining direct mail with digital advertising mail can boost sales. Royal Mail is already a major player in this field.
Demonstrating our flair for innovation, Royal Mail has launched a digital watermarking solution which enables companies to provide a link from their post to the full spectrum of digital media. Users access the digital content, via a smartphone app, by holding their 3G phone over the digitally watermarked page.
The technology underlines our commitment to providing customer-focused technology solutions in a fast-moving communications environment.
