The Group Executive Team consists of the following members:
Adam Crozier is Chief Executive of Royal Mail Group and chairman of the Group Executive Team.
Before joining Royal Mail, he was Chief Executive of the Football Association while between 1988 and 1999 he held a number of senior roles at Saatchi and Saatchi, including Joint Chief Executive from 1995.
Adam is also on the boards of Camelot, the National Lottery operator, and Debenhams plc. He is a member of the President’s Committee of the CBI.

Stephen Agar was appointed Managing Director of Royal Mail Wholesale when the business was first created in April 2006, having negotiated the first access agreement for an external company to use Royal Mail’s network in 2004. In this position he is responsible for all access arrangements with companies who want to use Royal Mail for the final delivery.
Stephen is a Barrister who started his career in the Government Legal Service before moving to Racal Electronics plc. He joined Royal Mail in 1991 and previous roles with Royal Mail include Business Strategy Director in Royal Mail's Marketing Division and Regulatory Affairs Director.

Alan Cook was appointed to the post of Managing Director of Post Office Ltd in March 2006. Reporting to Royal Mail Group Chief Executive Adam Crozier, he is responsible for developing the Post Office network in its key role of serving 24 million customers nationwide each week. He had been a non-executive member of the Board of Post Office Ltd since April 2005.
Alan was previously Chief Executive of National Savings and Investments from 2002. He began his career at the Prudential in 1970, becoming Managing Director of General Insurance in 1997 and Chief Executive of Insurance Services in 1999.
He is a member of the Council at the Institute of Financial Services, a Chartered Insurer, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management and a freeman of the City of London.


Ian Duncan was appointed as Finance Director of Royal Mail Group in September 2006. He joined from Westinghouse Electric Company based in the USA, where he had been Chief Financial Officer since 1999. Prior to joining Westinghouse, Ian was Corporate Finance Director at British Nuclear Fuels plc.
Before that Ian was in corporate finance with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Ltd and Lloyds Merchant Bank Ltd. He started his career with Deloitte & Touche in London. He has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales since 1985.

Jonathan Evans joined the company directly from university in 1974.
Before his appointment as Company Secretary in 1999, he held a wide range of senior management positions throughout the Group. He is a trustee of the Royal Mail Pension Plan and Chairman of the Royal Mail Senior Executive Pension Plan, and a member of the GLS Supervisory Board.

Mary Fagan joined Royal Mail Group in December 2003 as Corporate and Government Affairs Director.
A respected senior City and Industrial journalist, Mary’s previous roles included Deputy City Editor of the Sunday Telegraph, industrial correspondent for the Independent and city reporter at the Evening Standard.

Mark Higson was appointed to the Group Executive Team in November 2007.
Mark joined from BPB, the worlds leading plasterboard manufacturer, where he was divisional Chief Executive and Group Operations Director. Prior to BPB, he held senior positions at Courtaulds Plc, including CEO at its UK Coatings division. He has also worked at HJ Heinz and British Aerospace.
Mark is an engineering graduate of Imperial College London and also holds a Masters Degree in Business from study at the London Business School and the Massachussetts Institute of Technology. He has a passion for safety and health, providing outstanding service and innovation for customers and for delivering operational excellence by utilising the full contribution of all our people.

Alex joined Royal Mail in 2004. He is responsible for helping the Group develop and deliver its strategy.
Prior to joining Royal Mail, Alex was a consultant with McKinsey & Company from 1987 until 2004 in the UK and East Asia. During that time he served clients across a range of industries on questions of strategy, organisation and operations. Latterly, during five years in Asia, he focused on Corporate Finance particularly in the financial institutions sector.
Alex has degrees in Mathematics from London and Cambridge and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

David became Managing Director of Parcelforce Worldwide in January 2007 after three years as Finance Director.
David joined Royal Mail Group in 2002, initially as Finance Director of Royal Mail’s Business Sales division before taking up his role as Finance Director of Parcelforce Worldwide in January 2003.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and, prior to 2002, held a number of financial and commercial positions in the electronics industry, including Finance Director of RS Components UK.

Sue Whalley joined Royal Mail in 2006 and was appointed to the Group Executive Team in June 2009. She is responsible for leading development of Group and Post Office strategy and for our relationship with the Regulator.
Before joining Royal Mail in September 2006 she worked at Mckinsey and Company for 17 years, the last 6 of which were as a partner in their London office. She was also co leader of Mckinsey's European Marketing and retail practices.
She has an MA from Cambridge University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
