The Commercial Programme which includes Marketing, Sales, Customer Services and Media is now open.
Throughout our proud history, we’ve played a key role in bringing people together. From simple thank you cards to decadent food hampers, our dedication to providing a safe and secure delivery service has brought smiles to millions of faces. Our Commercial function (made up of Marketing, Sales and Customer Service) continues to build on that dedication to this day.
Through listening to our customers, understanding the market place and using innovative approaches, the Commercial team aim to deliver world-class products and services that connect businesses to their customers, and people to people.
Here’s a quick description of what each area does:
Marketing
This team is responsible for product design and delivery, as well as overseeing our brands and advertising campaigns.
Sales
Our sales teams are the voice of the customer, and as such influence both the development of products and how they are sold.
Customer Services
With one of the largest customer service teams in the UK, this area is dedicated to offering an outstanding standard of customer experience and business support.
Over the two years of the programme, you’ll undertake two to three placements within Marketing, Sales and Customer Services teams around the country. These placements will cover a variety of disciplines – allowing you to develop a diverse range of skills and gain a broad overview of the organisation – and will be tailored to fit both your individual needs and our business requirements.
After a comprehensive induction, you’ll have access to many learning and development activities. We’ll also support you should you wish to study for a relevant professional qualification offered by the Chartered Institute of Marketing or Institute of Direct Marketing.
From the outset, you will be given responsibilities that directly affect the success of our business. To give you an idea of the level of responsibility we’re talking about, recent graduates have worked in key roles such as Market Development Manager, Customer Service Team Leader, Brand Manager and Customer Journey Manager.
As well as the opportunity to learn from a range of marketing, sales and customer service professionals, who have an abundance of skills and experience to pass on, you’ll be given a mentor (senior business manager) and a buddy (a recent graduate). They’ll be on-hand to offer guidance and answer any specific questions you might have about your progression in this area.
