Each December, pupils at St Bridget's Primary School (Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire) set up a special Christmas postal service for teachers and classmates.
This year Royal Mail was given exclusive behind the scenes access to Primary Two's 2018 festive operation, to learn how Christmas is delivered at St Bridget's.

Every morning throughout the month of December the children of Primary 2 have been arriving just after 8.30am to set up their very own Post Office

From 8.45am the customers (all of the other children and the staff) pour in to have their Christmas cards stamped and sorted.

Every single card is stamped by hand and then sorted by the team into classes for delivery.

Each card costs 5p to be delivered with all proceeds going to charity.

The P2 Posties then spend a portion of their lunchtime travelling the school to deliver all of the cards

Headteacher Dennis Hopkins stated that it has been a tradition in the school for many years, and this year it has been as popular as it has ever

Developing the Young Workforce is a priority for the school and the pupils of P2 certainly seem to have enjoyed the experience!

Royal Mail would like to congratulate St Bridget's Primary Two pupils for a providing such a wonderful festive postal service for their classmates this year!
